Comprehensive
Lung Health Care

Dr. Nesreen ND, with her PhD in respiratory health, combines her medical expertise with a functional medicine approach to treat patients’ lung health. By identifying and addressing the root causes of lung conditions, we aim to optimize lung function and prevent future respiratory issues.

I completed advanced training as a respirologist through a fellowship at McMaster University and hold a PhD in respiratory health. With formal experience diagnosing and managing complex lung conditions in both hospital and outpatient settings, I now bring that expertise to my practice as a licensed naturopathic doctor, drawing on a functional medicine perspective to address chronic respiratory issues at their root. By uniting these two approaches, I strive to help you breathe more freely and enhance your overall wellness.

I strongly believe that optimal lung health is vital for overall well-being. Breathing easy is a complex process that encompasses physical, mental, and emotional aspects. Therefore, we understand the significance of addressing the underlying causes of lung diseases such as COPD and asthma, rather than merely managing their symptoms.

What we treat

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a chronic inflammatory lung disease that causes obstructed airflow from the lungs, making it difficult to breathe. COPD includes two main conditions: chronic bronchitis and emphysema.

Asthma is a chronic disease that inflames and narrows the airways, causing wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath, and coughing

Allergies are a hypersensitivity disorder of the immune system that causes an exaggerated response to harmless substances in the environment, such as pollen, dust mites, and certain foods. Allergies can cause a variety of symptoms, including sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, skin rash, and difficulty breathing.

A chronic cough is a cough that lasts for eight weeks or longer. It can be caused by various conditions, including asthma, allergies, acid reflux, and postnasal drip.

It is a chronic and progressive lung disease that causes scarring of the lungs, making it difficult to breathe.

Our treatment approach

Whole-body health analysis

We offer personalized healthcare, starting with a thorough discussion of medical history, lifestyle, and environmental exposures. We use this information to identify potential triggers and root causes of health issues, and to determine which tests are needed we then create a comprehensive treatment plan.

Advanced diagnostics

At our functional medicine clinic, we offer comprehensive testing to evaluate toxicity levels, hidden infections, gut microbiome, inflammatory markers, and advanced cellular nutrient levels. Our advanced functional medicine testing can provide valuable insights into the underlying causes of chronic health conditions.

Pesonalized treatment plans

After a thorough analysis of diagnostic tests, and patient history we create a tailored treatment plan that may include dietary changes, targeted supplementation, detoxification protocols, stress management techniques, and other evidence-based therapies and advanced treatment protocols to address the root causes of your illness.
